- Passing wind frequently and breaking wudu.In Prayers and duties ·December 3, 2022Question: I have bloating in stomach, when I am in stress or anxiety and I pass wind during salah, should I perform wudu again? This is happening on a daily basis. Answer ID: 182642 Bismillah hir-Rahman nir-Rahim ! (Fatwa: 76/40/SD=1/1443) Yes! If you are not Ma’zoor (an excused person) as per the Shariah as is clear [from the question] and wind passed during salah then wudhu will break and you will have to make wudhu and offer salah again. - Wudhu for a person having problem of regular wind passing (Farting)In Prayers and duties ·December 1, 2022Question: I have a problem of passing wind at regular short intervals. So, I offer one namaz with one wudhu. And I do wudhu after the prayer time starts. (1) In maghrib, with a fear of losing Jamat or losing a rakat, sometimes I did wudhu a few minutes before the time of the prayer started. The same I did in Fajr in Ramadhan. Is my namaz valid? Can I follow the above in future? (2) Sometimes I have to go somewhere. In a fear that I won't get the opportunity to do wudhu there (e.g., unavailability of water), can I do wudhu before leaving home when there is still time in the next prayer time (at least 30-45 minutes)? (3) Sometimes the wind passing is so frequent that I'm even unable to complete my wudhu. What should I do in this case? (4) I usually recite the Quran after Fajr. When Fajr time ends and the 20 minutes makrooh time starts, do I have to do wudhu again to recite Quran in those 20 minutes. Again when this makrooh time ends and Ishraq time starts, do I have to do wudhu again to continue reciting? (Or to offer Namaz-e-Ishraq?) Answer ID: 183172 Bismillah hir-Rahman nir-Rahim ! (Fatwa: 384/112/Tatimmah/H=4/1443) (1) In the question mentioned above, if you constantly pass out the wind and do not get enough time during the full time of a salah to be able to perform the fardh salah of that time, then according to Shariah, you are a mazur person (excused). It would not be right for you to perform wudhu before salah time and offer salah with the same wudhu. The ruling for a mazur person is that he should perform wudhu only after the time of salah starts. It is necessary for you to reoffer the salahs that you have performed by performing wudhu before entering the time. (2) This method is not correct. The ruling for Shariah mazur person is that he would perform wudhu after entering the time of timely salah. (3) Wudhu would be valid in this case. (4) Wudhu done after sunrise (during makrooh time) is sufficient for Ishraq salah, tilawat etc. there is no need to make wudhu again after passing makrooh time. - Is wudhu valid with petroleum jelly on hand?In Prayers and duties ·December 1, 2022Question: My question is it permissible to perform wudhu with petroleum jelly and its based products applied on hand feet face? Or do I need to remove it with soap each time I perform wudu? Answer ID: 183168 Bismillah hir-Rahman nir-Rahim (Fatwa: 386/277/H=4/1443) If there is any substance like petroleum jelly on the body which is stuck on the body part in such a way that water does not reach the body, then it is necessary to remove this petroleum jelly etc., i.e. it should be removed by washing with soap, etc., then wudhu should be performed so that water can reach the body part. If they remain, water will not reach the body and purification will not be possible. And if by applying petroleum jelly etc. a layer is not formed but it takes the form of a liquid like oil, then after washing the body parts with water, the hands should be passed over them well so that all the body parts get wet with water and no place remains dry. Allah (Subhana Wa Ta'ala) knows Best Darul Ifta, Darul Uloom Deoband, India Forwarded by: Khaiyam Khalid005

- Seeing yellowish discharges at the end of periodsIn Prayers and duties ·December 3, 2022Question: My habit is 7 days normally, and towards the end I see yellowish discharge mostly after I make ghusl. Like on the seventh day it gets mostly dry. So is the yellowish creamish color counted as periods? Also sometimes in between I get yellowish leucorrhea discharges so I am confused if this discharge seen towards the end of my periods is leucorrhea or periods? Please answer fast. Answer ID: 164634 Bismillah hir-Rahman nir-Rahim ! (Fatwa: 1353/1239/B=01/1440) The yellowish discharge which you see will be counted menstrual discharge. Do ghusl after it. However, after completing the days of habit if you are sure that it is leucorrhea then it shall not be counted menstruation. You have to differentiate between menses and leucorrhea in the light of your experience and you should act as per your experience. - Is it necessary to do ghusl after smear test?In Prayers and duties ·December 1, 2022Question: Is it necessary to do ghusl after smear test? Answer ID: 184913 Bismillah hir-Rahman nir-Rahim ! (Fatwa: 590/457/H=8/1443) Ghusl is not fardh on woman after having a smear test or any such other test; so there is no need to take a bath after undergoing such a test. - Transfer of impurityIn Prayers and duties ·December 1, 2022Question: If visible traces of impurity (such as urine and Mani) are on one's trousers, would they be spreading the impurity if they walk around a room due to air/dust particles? Hence would the floor become dirty? If one's hands and forearms are wet due to being washed with water, would the same impurities from before attach on to the hands and forearms making them unclean? Answer ID: 183478 Bismillah hir-Rahman nir-Rahim ! (Fatwa: 449/372/D=5/1443) (1) No, impurity does not spread like this. However, if there is any impurity on the clothes or body, it should be washed as soon as possible. (2) If the effect of Nijasat is not visible on the wet hand, then the hand or cloth will not be unclean. - Do Madhi and Wadi Have Smell? And Can You Pray Salah in Same Cloth? In Prayers and duties ·December 1, 2022Question: Sometimes my pants are wet and I don't even know when it becomes. I think it is mazi or wadi. But I've read they have no smell. But little smell comes. And can I pray in it? If I can't pray in the same cloth then can I pray it in it if it's absolutely necessary? Answer ID: 183895 Bismillah hir-Rahman nir-Rahim (Fatwa: 614/492/B=5/1443) There is no odour in Madhi or Wadi, but both are unclean. It is not lawful to offer salah without washing it if it is more than a dirham. Therefore, when your pants get wet with madhi, you should change it or wash it and offer salah. - Turning impure mattress without washingIn Prayers and duties ·December 3, 2022Question: I sleep on a mattress which is impure because of urine and semen. So far I know, if I sleep on this mattress without washing then I have to take shower before praying. The mattress is made of cloth and cotton. If I flip the mattress to its opposite side and sleep on it, is it OK? Should I take shower in such case? Answer ID: 165362 Bismillah hir-Rahman nir-Rahim ! (Fatwa: 56/24/L=01/1440) If the mattress is wet and the mark of impurity appears on body and cloth due to sleeping then it is mandatory to wash that particular place where the impurity is smeared on the body or cloth, but it is not mandatory to have bath. And in case of turning the mattress the ruling is same that if the mark of impurity is on the other side and the effect of impurity is felt on body or clothes due to sleeping on it then it is mandatory to wash that place where the impurity is smeared, but it is not mandatory to bathe. And if the impurity does not appear on the other side or the impurity is dried then due to sleeping on it you will not have to wash. - I am always confused regarding whether I have my wudhu or not because of leucorrhea and urine issuesIn Prayers and duties ·December 3, 2022Question: I am always confused regarding whether I have my wudhu or not because of leucorrhea and urine issues. What shall I do in case of confusion? Does wudhu breaks for just a minute discharge? Answer ID: 174797 Bismillah hir-Rahman nir-Rahim ! (Fatwa: 393/276/B=3/1441) According to Shariah you shall be deemed excused (mazur) person if you don’t get such a time in which you could offer one time’s salah after changing your clothes and performing wudhu in the state of purity. For a mazur person, Shariah has provided this facility that he/she should perform fresh wudhu at the time of each salah and offer as much salah as much he/she wishes with that wudhu within the time. If the drops of leucorrhea and urine continue yet salah will be valid in that state. If the drops of leucorrhea and urine discharge each minute then too it breaks wudhu. But Shariah has provided the abovementioned facility to a mazur person. The answer is correct. However, you should read more details regarding the issue of mazur person in Bahishti Zewar and then practice.
